Assessment of studies
Bachelor's and Master's thesis

For the Bachelor's degree student will establish Bachelor's thesis that relates to his/her major subject. For the Master's degree student will establish Master's thesis. Connected to the thesis work student must take a written maturity examination. It shows student's knowledge of the field of the thesis and also tests student's skills in Finnish or Swedish. Student does not have to prove his/her Finnish or Swedish skills in maturity for Master's thesis if he/she has done that in Bachelor's. Student has to prove his/her acquaintance with the field and subject of the thesis. The criteria for evaluating Bachelor's and Master's thesis can be seen from the web pages of Institute of Health Sciences.

Examination and assessment regulations

The studies that belong to the didactics of nursing science (60 credits) are evaluated using a scale from 0 to 5, or by pass/fail. If a study module is evaluated using a pass/fail scale, student must attain at least level 3 (good knowledge). The didactics of the nursing science (60 credits) are valued as average of study modules.

Study materials and way of performance are announced in the presentations of each module. Undone assignments have to be done during the next two semesters at the latest. In other case a study module must be carried out again. Further instructions or possible changes in performing the study modules are informed in the beginning of the module.
