Learning outcomes 

Students will be able to explain how the lexicon of Finnish has evolved. Students will be able to display knowledge of the fundamentals of etymological research. In addition, students will be familiar with the word formation in Finnish and basic terms of onomastics. Students will also be familiar with the basics of history of and contemporary trends in toponomastics and anthroponymy.
