Learning outcomes 

At the completion of this course the student should be able to perform anamnesis and examination of a surgical patient. He/she should be aware of the risks of general diseases and medication to surgical treatment. The student should perform independently conventional local anaesthetic measures and should be able to perform tooth extractions.

  • To teach how to examine the oral surgical patient and do the anamnesis
  • To study the essentials of general diseases and medication of the patients
  • Theoretical and practical teaching -to learn to give local anesthetics
  • To learn to do uncomplicated tooth extractions
