Learning outcomes  The student who has passed the course of Child Psychiatry is able to describe the normal psychological development of children, knows child psychiatric health care organization, legislation and is able to diagnose and treat the most common child psychiatric disorders. The students will have readiness to work as a physician in the health center and as a junior trainee in the hospital.  
Learning activities and teaching methods  1) Lectures:
- the diagnostics and treatment of the most common child psychiatric disorders and child psychiatric health care organization as well as the main legislation.
2) Special themes:
- sexual abuse and child molestation
- intoxications: drugs and alcohol
3) In-patient teaching:
- getting acquainted with the child psychiatric in-patient treatment by participating to the representation of the in-patient department and to the representation of the patient cases
- getting acquainted with the own patient case and present the case in the study group
- participating to the presentation of the patient cases of the other students in the study group
4) Out-patient teaching:
- following of the two out-patient sessions
5) Problem based learning:
- solving and representing the example patient cases in the study group
- getting acquainted with the evidence based practices

Assessment methods and criteria  - Admission exam: textbook
- Final exam: textbook, lectures and study group teachings
- Objective structured clinical examination at the end of the spring term including all courses of the fifth academic year 
Grading  - The admission exam is evaluated from 0 to 25 points (the approval limit is 15 points)
-The final exam is evaluated from 0 to 10 points (the approval limit is 5 points)
- The course is approved when all exams are approved and the student has attended to all compulsory teaching,
